The story: Bumbling odd-couple New York detectives -- one a paper-pushing desk jockey, the other a trigger-happy street guy -- attempt to emulate the Big Apple's top cops, but things don't exactly go as planned.

The buzz: New York City may be this buddy-cop comedy's main setting, but New York-New York may make an appearance, because "The Other Guys" filmed in Las Vegas last November, with locations at the Flamingo and elsewhere on the Strip. Calling the shots is Ferrell's longtime collaborator Adam McKay. Their partnership (which includes the Internet's Funnyordie.com) stretches back to "Saturday Night Live" and includes such big-screen comedies as "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy," "Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby" and "Step Brothers."
