Restaurants celebrate Riesling Week through Aug. 1

To celebrate Riesling Week from Monday through Aug. 1, local restaurants will offer riesling by the glass, in pairings and in flights. Among participating restaurants are Pinot Brasserie at The Venetian, Michael Mina Bellagio at Bellagio, Alize at the Palms, Aureole at Mandalay Bay, Vintner Grill at 10100 W. Charleston Blvd., Rosemary's Restaurant at 8125 W. Sahara Ave. and Nora's Wine Bar & Osteria at 1031 S. Rampart Blvd. ...

Speaking of Nora's Wine Bar & Osteria: The restaurant now offers a $17 lunch special of three daily inspired pastas, bruschetta, housemade gelato and a beverage. It also has introduced a gluten-free pasta alternative.

And at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Nora's will host a tasting of 24 pastas, with beer, sparkling wine and music by Beatles tribute group The Fab for $45, and a 9 p.m. beer tasting with gelato and music. ...
