El Cortez celebrates Gaughan’s 90th; Silverton awarding up to $75,000
Sunday is Jackie Gaughan's 90th birthday, and in honor of the occasion, the El Cortez is serving free birthday cake and champagne from noon-6 p.m.
On the next two Thursdays and Fridays, the Silverton will draw 20 names at 7 p.m. The second through fifth names will drop three pucks into a Kerplinko game and win $900-$1,500 in cash or free play. The first person also gets to drop the pucks, but he receives two additional bonuses. First, the score is tripled (making the prize range from $2,700-$4,500), and second, if he reaches $4,500 and is able to drop a fourth "golden puck" into the $500 slot, the prize zooms to $75,000. In addition to the five puck droppers, five players will receive $200 in free slot play and an additional 10 players will receive $100 in free slot play. Players receive one entry for every 50 base points ($50 coin-in). New members as well as current members who visit the booth on Sunday receive 25 free entries.
On Saturday, Fiesta Henderson bingo players (minimum $5 buy-in) will receive a spinning pill case.
Also on Saturday, Eastside Cannery players earning 300 base points ($300 coin-in on slots, $600 coin-in on video poker; no point redemption required) will receive a bottle of Smirnoff vodka or Jack Daniel's whiskey. Those earning 800 points will receive their choice of premium liquor. There is limited availability, and brands and sizes do vary. Limit two per customer.
Terrible's players earning 7,500 base points ($7,500 coin-in; no point redemption required) in a week (Sunday-Sunday) now receive a $75 comp to McCormick and Schmick's. You also can pick up the same comp by redeeming 20,000 points. This promotion is scheduled to run through the end of the year.
Players hitting a four-of-a-kind at any RoadRunner or at the Agave restaurant will receive an invitation to a special party and drawing on January 23 (the AFC Championship game) at the RoadRunner-Flamingo location. During halftime, 10 names will be drawn who then will be invited to a special Super Bowl party (RoadRunner-Buffalo location) and have a chance to spin for $1 million.
