State mottos have been around since, well, there's been states. But they don't have to be dry and boring. At statemottos project.com, an artist from each state has been commissioned to design an art piece using the state's motto, giving it a new life.

If you want to get your weather forecast in a whole new way, try weatherspark.com. The site is still in its beta stage, so more features may be forthcoming, but users can get three forecasts for the same location in graph form, find out specific averages for days (such as, at 4 p.m. in late July in Houston, it's probable a thunderstorm is rolling in), compare two cities and view global climate trends.
