Merry Little Theatre celebrates with ‘Christmas Shorts’

Unwrapping a couple of theatrical Christmas gifts, Las Vegas Little Theatre plays Santa to theatergoers this holiday season, beginning this weekend.

"Christmas Shorts," a collection of five quickie yuletide comedies by Matt Hoverman at the LVLT Studio Theatre, addresses the effect of the holiday season on relationships, yielding both chaos and joy. "Christmas Shorts" runs for six performances, at 8 p.m. today, Saturday, Dec. 16 and 17, and at 2 p.m. Sunday and Dec. 18. Tickets are $11 for seniors and students and $12 for adults.

Meanwhile, "A Little Theatre Christmas" ho-ho-hos it up on the mainstage, offering the sounds of the season with holiday classics sung by a cast of 15 local performers. The concert-style show is scheduled for only three performances this weekend, at 8 p.m. today and Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $14 for seniors and students, $15 for adults and $5 for children under 18.
