Barnes & Noble to host Harry Potter ball on Friday
It’s been a magical year for Harry Potter fans.
Wizards and muggles alike delighted in the “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” book as well as the first movie installment of “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” in 2016. And on Friday, Barnes & Noble is offering fans the opportunity to celebrate the Golden Age of Harry Potter.
The bookstores are hosting a Harry Potter Magical Holiday Ball at 7 p.m.
The event is inspired by the Yule Ball in “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.” Barnes & Noble promises a magical evening of Harry Potter crafts, games, music and surprises.
Guests are encouraged to dress up as their favorite character but everyone is welcome to join in on the dancing, photo opportunities and other activities.
All stores will feature a craft-making station where customers can make Potter-themed ornaments and owl fans. Other activities include wizard charades, trivia games and photo stations. Select stores will offer free samples of a festive sugar cookie and a seasonal caramel apple spice drink in the Barnes & Noble Café.
The Las Vegas location at 8915 W. Charleston Blvd. will feature its special wand-making station and a portion of all proceeds will go to the Bonanza High School student union.
All Barnes & Noble locations will offer a giveaway of a special “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets: The Illustrated Edition” poster for the first 100 guests.
