Our top 5 picks for what to see and do Sunday at Life is Beautiful
The Life is Beautiful weekend comes to a close today. So now is your last chance to explore the festival’s more artistic and culinary offerings before the gates close for good at 1 a.m. Monday morning.
What to listen to
Major Lazer’s show is expected to close out the weekend with a big burst of energy. Popular for his songs “Lean On” and “Cold Water,” his reggae-style electronic music will definitely get you hyped. He’ll be on the Downtown Stage at 11:40 p.m.
Fans of Mumford & Sons will probably also want to see The Lumineers. The American folk rock band will be more foot-stomping than booty-shaking, and because they play the Ambassador Stage at 10:55 p.m., you’ll have to choose between them and Major Lazer.
Harley Edward Streten, better known by Flume, is most popular right now for his song “Never Be Like You.” He’ll be playing at 9:40 p.m. on the Downtown Stage.
What to eat
Start off your last day with something healthy at Eatt. After a weekend of partying, you might actually want something with vegetables. Their food features lots of fresh ingredients, with the added benefit of being really, really pretty. You can find them in the Ambassador Culinary Village.
And if you find yourself needing a pick-me-up, Grouchy John’s Coffee will be set up between the Downtown Stage and the Huntridge Stage. You can get yourself a Star Wars themed beverage, or go classic Fall with pumpkin spice. Coffee purists can also get themselves a really good cup of joe.

What to drink
Foodies and Disneyland fans alike will be excited to order a Pineapple Express with Dole Whip. The Bacardi Pineapple Rum Drink is topped with the elusive fluffy frozen soft serve.
And make sure you order a classic Festival Mule crafted with Effen Straight Vodka, lime juice, and Barritt’s Ginger Beer before you leave.
What to look at
If you haven’t seen all the murals yet, now’s the time to do so. Get to the festival grounds early to give yourself enough time to view them all before sundown. New artists this year include “Obey Giant” creator Shepard Fairey as well as a number of international contributors. The massive semi-truck contortion “Big Rig Jig” definitely deserves a look, too.
What to listen to
If you haven’t yet, try to stop by Kindland Comedy House. Dozens of comedians will take to the stage, including writers for popular sitcoms and talk shows. The local comedy show will start at 7 p.m.
