When servers bring an order to your table at Ohjah Japanese Steakhouse, you’ll notice it shares something in common with the atmosphere: good presentation.
“True bar-b-que cain’t use no trickery. Jus’ slow sweet smoke from apple & hickory,” reads a quote attributed to Ann Nonnie Moss painted on the side of the giant smoker inside Lucille’s Smokehouse Bar-B-Que. If you see a waitress stocking it with wood, she may even ask you if you would like a peek.
Shizen offers upscale dining in a casual atmosphere. The small entry opens to the fresh fish display area, where chefs in traditional outfits serve up nigiri and sashimi sushi as you watch.
