Backstreet Boys add 3 summer shows at Sphere
Backstreet Boys’ wave of white will continue through the end of August.
The classic lineup of Nick Carter, Kevin Richardson, Howie Dorough, AJ McLean and Brian Littrell have announced Aug. 27, 28 and 29 as part of the group’s “Into the Millennium” residency at Sphere. Go to ticketmaster.com for intel.
These are reportedly BSB’s final summer dates to be announced. Last month, they added dates July 30-31, Aug 1, 6, 7 and 8. Overall, the band has booked 18 shows from July through August.
The band closed its current run this past month and has headlined 35 shows at the Bulbous Wonder. BSB has sold more than 575,000 tickets in Las Vegas.
Dorough said in July that the fans dictate the band’s Sphere schedule.
“Mentally, just thinking about doing this at 51 years old — is that the same energy that I had when I was 20 years old?” Dorough said during a fan appearance at Hofbrauhaus. “But I honestly, every time I get here, the fans have the have the energy. They reinvigorate us.”’
Dorough is 52 now and will be 53 during the last set of August performances. But the message is unchanged.
