An upcoming science show on Netflix is casting Las Vegas kids

An upcoming Netflix series is looking for local youth with science and engineering skills.

“Schooled,” a STEM series from former NASA engineer Mark Rober, is holding open-call auditions at Code Ninjas locations in Las Vegas. The show “opens the doors to his full gamified laboratory, where teams of young inventors face off in the wildly imaginative, high-stakes science experiments that get bigger with every round.”

Jimmy Kimmel, raised in Las Vegas, is set to produce.

According to the casting notice, producers are looking for 9- to 17-year-olds who are creative thinkers, hands-on builders, curious problem solvers and/or robotics enthusiasts.

Families with children who fit that description are encouraged to visit Code Ninjas, 7501 W. Lake Mead Blvd. and 6955 N. Durango Dr., until April 30. Once there, they’ll receive help creating a video submission.
