The Vegas Golden Knights Drumbots led off an international parade that kicked off the El Tiempo Fiesta Las Vegas on Saturday morning in North Las Vegas.
‘Paracosm’
The tribute comes from more than a dozen states and seven countries: 58 portraits, created in media and styles as wide-ranging as their points of origin by a diverse palette of artists, all of whom have volunteered their talent in service to the simple gift of remembrance.
The first pieces include an archway from the Burning Man festival in the Black Rock Desert and a fire-breathing dragon named for online cartoon character Trogdor the Burninator.
