Inside a 1978 Airstream in the VIP section of the Electric Daisy Carnival, Audette Sophia busily works her magic.

EDC Las Vegas
The festival-goers are here and the Electric Daisy Carnival got started Friday night at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
It started just like any other wedding, with a jittery bride in the back of the chapel and an equally nervous groom, head bowed, at the front.
At Electric Daisy Carnival, there’s the typical rave attire — plastic kandi beads, rhinestone-encrusted bras, neon spandex and totems, the decorated poles often seen pumping up and down in the crowd.
The crush of fans entering Las Vegas Motor Speedway for the first night of Electric Daisy Carnival was every bit as heavy as expected.
Ever wonder what’s it’s like to take a helicopter to Electric Daisy Carnival, whizzing above The Strip with stunning mountain vistas forming a picturesque backdrop? Wonder no more.
