The Killers announce hometown show, celebration for ‘Sam’s Town’ anniversary
The Killers are returning to Las Vegas for two days of special events to celebrate the 10-year anniversary reissue of their sophomore album, Sam’s Town.
The band announced on Twitter today that they will be performing two shows at Sam’s Town Hotel and Gambling Hall, the album’s namesake, to accompany the reissue. There’s no word yet if they will be playing the album in full, or a more varied set.

The Sam’s Town Decennial Extravaganza will take place September 30 and October 1, marking the first Killers’ performance at the hotel.
Tickets ($99.50 for general admission, $449 for the VIP experience that includes a private concert and commemorative swag) go on pre-sale August 3 and can be purchased here.
All profits from the event will go to support Las Vegas charities for the homeless and addiction recovery, according to Pitchfork.
In addition to the show at Sam’s Town, the band is offering a “Killers’ Bus Tour” through Las Vegas, according to CID Entertainment. The tour includes visits to iconic spots in the band’s history, like Battle Born Studios where they record their albums, and the cafe where Brandon Flowers and Dave Keuning played their first show. (Note: the tour does not include a band interaction.) Tickets ($99) for September 30 and October 1 also go on pre-sale August 3.
The remastered 2xLP vinyl includes two bonus tracks, according to Pitchfork. The limited 5,016 copies include a 10-year anniversary booklet.
