Europe, of Geico commercial fame, headed to Vegas
You’ve got to strike while the iron is hot, right? Isn’t that what they say? Ask the members of Europe. Clearly, they can attest to this adage.
Capitalizing on the massive and enviable exposure the outfit undoubtedly gained from its recent cameo in that humorous Geico commercial, Europe is heading out on a tour of the country in support of “War of Kings,” its latest album.
If you haven’t seen it, the clip features the ’80s-era Swedish hard rock band playing “Final Countdown” amid a shower of sparks in a cafeteria as a dude heats up his lunch in a microwave. Like most of Geico’s commercials, it’s grin-inducing.
Catch Europe when the group plays Hard Rock Live on Jan. 23. Tickets go on sale at 9 a.m. Oct. 23.
