First Look: ‘So Below’ offers moviegoers very little

The story: An archaeologist (Weeks) believes she’s tracked the Philosopher’s Stone, an artifact rumored to be capable of turning metal into gold and granting eternal life, in the Catacombs beneath Paris in this psychological thriller.

The buzz: Zero. There is virtually zero buzz about “As Above/So Below.” But it’s the biggest movie opening this weekend. There’s a reason they call these the dog days of summer.
