The buzz: This is some crazy smart counter-programming in a summer full of action movies. The novel’s devoted fan base turned the first scenes from the movie into the most-liked trailer in YouTube history. That passion means there’s a real chance it could win the face-off with Tom Cruise’s “Edge of Tomorrow.”
