Top-selling country female artist ever to host ACM Awards in Vegas

Shania Twain has headlined multiple Las Vegas Strip theaters in residency productions. But she is notching a first in May, hosting the 61st ACM Awards show from the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

The top-selling female country artist of all time was announced Wednesday as the show’s host. The ACMs emanate from the Grand Garden Arena for the first time (tickets on sale at AXS.com) at 5 p.m. Pacific time May 17 on Prime Video.

Twain has headlined residencies at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace from 2012-2014, and Zappos Theater in two runs from 2019-’22 and 2024-’25. In a statement, Twain said: “I’m thrilled to be hosting the 61st ACM Awards in Las Vegas, a place that feels like home.”

She has won three ACM Awards and five Grammys.

Announced performers for the show’s return to Las Vegas include Cody Johnson, Kacey Musgraves, Lainey Wilson, Little Big Town, Miranda Lambert and Riley Green. More performers and presenters are to be announced.
