Rock legends Journey to celebrate off-Strip resort’s 20th

Journey is in farewell and anniversary mode in ‘26.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band is bringing its “Final Frontier” tour to Red Rock Resort’s 20th anniversary celebration, playing poolside April 29 (tickets start at $93.50 plus tax, on sale 10 a.m. Pacific time Friday at redrockresort.com).

The anniversary edition of Journey is Neal Schon on lead guitar, Jonathan Cain on keyboards and backing vocals, Arnel Pineda on lead vocals, Jason Derlatka on keyboards and vocals, Deen Castronovo on drums and vocals and Todd Jensen on bass.

The show will be staged at the resort’s 4,500-capacity, poolside entertainment venue used for all major headlining productions. The show is produced by AEG Presents Las Vegas and Station Casinos.

Journey’s lead-singer slot generated international speculation last week, as Cain implied that Steve Perry would be back with the band for its 50th anniversary tour this year. Perry “gently” confirmed he had no interest in a reunion.

But that decision will not throw off Journey’s array of classics, “Don’t Stop Believin’,” “Any Way You Want It,” “Faithfully,” “Lights,” “Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)” and “Open Arms” among them.

Over the years, the band has played in residency at the former Joint at Hard Rock Hotel and also The Theater at Virgin Hotel, the Colosseum at Caesars Palace and Resorts World Theater.

Pineda, who joined the band in 2007, has appeared in all of those shows.

The concert follows the inaugural Taste of Station grand-tasting event on April 18. Several Station Casinos restaurants, lounges and vendor partners are participating. A portion of the proceeds benefit Three Square Food Bank of Las Vegas.
