Go time: Catch a proven act in a new Vegas venue
The Orleans Showroom and Orleans Arena get the spotlight. But the resort’s Bourbon Street Lounge is a fab live music hang test-driving a Vegas jam session.
The Funk Jam, led by funk master Anthony “A.J.” James, premieres Wednesday from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. Should it rock the room, it will return. This is a free-form music experience, no set list, but virtuosity guaranteed. Johnson premiered this format at the Sand Dollar Lounge in 2013.
The room burns otherwise with recurring acts Claudine Castro on Friday, Wonderboogie on March 21 and In-A-Fect on March 27. No cover.
