  • Calling all green thumbs. The city of Henderson is set to plant trees along the Pittman Wash Trail in celebration of Make A Difference Day from 10 a.m. to noon Oct. 25 at the Silver Springs Recreation Center, 1951 Silver Springs Parkway. The free event is open to all ages and is set to help beautify and preserve the community’s 4.5-mile trail. Participants are encouraged to wear shoes that can get muddy and bring a shovel and gloves.
