Food and music combine for Bite of Las Vegas

The 12th annual Bite of Las Vegas food and music festival is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Oct. 18 at Desert Breeze Park, 8275 Spring Mountain Road. Some 45 restaurants are expected to participate, offering tastes in $1 to $5 portions. Admission is $8 for adults, free for children 5 and younger, and those attending can get $1 off the admission price with a donation at the gate of canned food for the City Mission of Las Vegas. James Beard Foundation Award winners and other chefs will be featured in the foundation’s Taste America event Oct. 24-26 at various venues on and near the Strip.
