Encore’s XS offers special events in luxurious setting
Combine over-the-top luxury with a nightclub setting and the outcome might look a lot like XS at Encore, 3131 Las Vegas Blvd. South.
The 40,000-square-foot club was the product of a now-defunct partnership between Steve Wynn and nightlife titan Victor Drai. The result was one of the larger clubs in town, a place where the details combine to create an opulent setting nearly unmatched on the Vegas club scene. That partnership ended recently, right after Paris Hilton and her boyfriend, XS managing partner Cy Waits, were arrested.
But a long lineup of resident DJs keeps the party going. DJs Alex Dreamz, Big Dee, Fabian, G-Squared, Pizzo, Warren Peace and Kris Nilsson take turns spinning house, top 40, hip-hop and more from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. Fridays through Mondays.
Special events are held throughout the week; Nov. 1 will be X-Hibition, the XS Halloween party. Cash and prizes totaling $20,000 will be given out.
Bottle service is available starting at about $400 a bottle. Cover charge is $20 for women and $30 for men except on Saturdays, when cover charge is $50 for men.
Wear your club gear if you go. Hats, baggy clothing and athletic wear are prohibited, and the dress code is strictly enforced.
