The story: When armed hijackers commandeer a New York subway train and hold passengers hostage, a dispatcher matches wits with the mastermind behind the crime.
The buzz: A remake of a 1974 thriller starring Walter Matthau and Robert Shaw (and a 1998 TV adaptation with Edward James Olmos and Vincent D’Onofrio), this marks the fourth collaboration between director Scott and star Washington, who previously worked together on 1995’s "Crimson Tide," 2004’s "Man on Fire," 2006’s "Deja Vu" — and will reunite once again for "Unstoppable," a "Runaway Train" remake due in 2011.
