‘Chicken’ DVD release party rolls into town
“Robot Chicken” co-creators Seth Green and Matt Senreich celebrate the release of their latest DVD with a nine-city roller-skating tour that stops 8-10 p.m. Sunday at Rancho Crystal Palace Skating Center, 3901 N. Rancho Drive.
The roller-skating party, which marks the release of “Robot Chicken: Star Wars Episode II,” will be hosted by Green and Senreich and feature a performance by recording artists Gym Class Heroes.
There will be celebrity guest stars, including the show’s writers and producers as well as “Robot Chicken” writer/voice talent Breckin Meyer. Festivities also will include “Chicken”-themed activities and games and exclusive Adult Swim cable channel merchandise.
“Our show is so much fun, we want to invite everyone to have fun with us,” Green says.
Senreich adds: “When Seth first pitched the idea of throwing roller-skating parties around the country, I rolled my eyes and laughed at him. I said, ‘That’s crazy talk.’ Now that we’re actually going to do it, I’m in awe of its absurdity and can’t wait to attend.”
