How to get free burgers from Shake Shack on Tuesday

The early bird gets the burger.

To celebrate the opening of the company’s 100th restaurant, Shake Shack locations across the country — which would include those at New York-New York on the Las Vegas Strip and in Downtown Summerlin — will give free burgers to the first 100 people who show up on Tuesday.

The restaurants open at 10:30 a.m., although you’d no doubt want to be in line long before then. But for your trouble, you can get a free single ShackBurger or burger of equal or lesser value, before noon.

The first Shake Shack opened 12 years ago in Madison Square Park in New York City, and the 100th opens Tuesday at the Boston Seaport.
