Family-owned pizzeria in North Las Vegas closes after about 3 years
Pizza Baby, a family-owned pizzeria in North Las Vegas, has shuttered after about three years.
“After a great run, we’ve made the difficult decision to close our store doors permanently. Thank you for all the love and support along the way,” the restaurant announced in a recent Instagram post. “Don’t worry, we’re still serving up your favorite pizza in our trusty trailer. Stay tuned for event details!”
One closing leads to another
The closing affected not only the Pizza Baby business, but also Charlie’s Chamangos, which operated from inside the pizzeria.
“Hello. Unfortunately, Pizza Baby had to close its doors permanently at the Craig location. As you can imagine, this affects us as well. I want to thank all of you that came to support us at this location,” the purveyor of chamangos, the frozen mango, pickled fruit and chile treat, also announced recently on Instagram.
“I don’t want to lie to you and say that we’ll be open back up soon because I really don’t know. I will post an update once we figure out what our next step is.” In a reply to a comment, Charlie’s, which began as a food truck, said the business still owned the trailer and “hoped to have that up and running at some point.”
On the menu
Pizza Baby, 1631 W. Craig Road, Suite 4, North Las Vegas, served New York-inspired pies in classic configurations like Margherita, sausage and pepperoni; specialty pies like barbecue chicken pizza, esquites sweet pork (roasted street corn, slow-roasted pork, cotija), and carne asada with white sauce and spicy salsa verde.
The menu also offered a rectangular, thick-crust Detroit-style pizza, a fluffy-crust Argentinean fugazzeta pizza topped with mozzarella and red onion, pizza by the slice, salads and loaded fries.
An expansion Pizza Baby on Centennial Center Boulevard in Centennial Hills closed in early 2025 after less than a year. Pizza Baby is @pizzababy_northlasvegas on Instagram. Visit thepizzababy.com.
