Ethel M Chocolates hosting free Decadence in the Desert culinary, art event

Ethel M Chocolates is inviting tourists and locals to spend an evening indulging in chocolate, its cactus garden and local art during its free Decadence in the Desert culinary and art event.

Featuring dozens of local artists, delicious food trucks and entertainment, the chocolatier’s family-friendly Decadence in the Desert also allows guests to sample freshly made chocolates and experience its new tasting room.

In the newly opened Tasting Room Experience, which costs $9.99, guests can sample four premium chocolate pieces and learn how each piece is made.

At past events, Ethel M has surprised guests with its impressive Acts of Kindness ATM machine that dispenses actual pieces of freshly crafted chocolates. In exchange for completing a random act of kindness determined by the ATM, guests receive chocolate.

A portion of the event’s proceeds will be donated to Opportunity Village, organizers said in a news release.

Decadence in the Desert is free and will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday at 2 Cactus Garden Drive in Henderson. The event is typically held every third Thursday of the month, and May will be the last month until fall.
