11 American restaurants in Las Vegas you need to try

“American” food is a wonderful category because it encompasses such a wide variety of foods, ranging from twists on old classics to unlikely combinations of other kinds of foods.

We asked our Facebook fans a while back for their favorite “hidden gems” in Las Vegas, and while some recommended nationally-known hot spots, some smaller joints were recommended.

Some are older, some are more known than others and some have been local favorites for years.

Here are some of the American restaurants our fans recommended:
