Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman Pauline Panis said that she did not have further details about his condition.
The former Death Row Records CEO appeared in L.A. County Superior Court in Compton on Tuesday to enter his plea. He is accused of running over Cle Denyale Sloan, and Terry Carter while driving his Ford Raptor. Carter died after the incident, which authorities said occurred after an altercation outside a Compton restaurant.
On Monday, Knight’s bail was revoked due to concerns that he posed a flight risk, that he is a candidate under the state’s three-strikes law and because of the possibility for witness intimidation, according to a Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department official. If convicted, Knight faces life in prison.
