DAVID BECKHAM TAKES OLYMPIC TORCH BY BOAT TO OPENING CEREMONY

David Beckham made a spectacular entrance at the London 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony, driving the Olympic Torch into Olympic Stadium by speedboat.  The soccer superstar’s role in the festivities was finally revealed when he, along with younger athlete Jade Bailey, was entrusted with taking the flame down the River Thames and under the Tower of London toward the packed stadium.
