Capriotti’s offering BBQ Chick sandwich for limited time

Here’s something we haven’t seen for a few years: a limited-time sandwich from Capriotti’s. It’s the BBQ Chick, made with grilled chicken, melted Provolone, cole slaw and barbecue sauce, and it’s available only through the end of July. Capriotti’s — which seems to have almost as many locations in Southern Nevada as Starbucks — points out that its ever-popular The Bobbie also started out as a limited-time sandwich. …

If you’re feeling playful this weekend, take the kids to Saturday Morning Cartoons from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday at Crossroads at the House of Blues at Mandalay Bay. In addition to the cartoons, you can partake of a buffet menu with such things as cereal, oatmeal and waffle stations, Pop Tarts and breakfast cups. It’s $20 for adults, $12 for kids 5 through 12. It’s free for younger kids, and also for kids in pajamas who are with a paying adult. …

Huneeus Vintners wines will be featured in a dinner at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Rivea at The Delano, 3940 Las Vegas Blvd. South. The reception and four-course dinner is $110, plus tax and tip; call 877-632-5400. …

Bistro 57 at the Aliante Casino is offering a July dinner special of Mediterranean sea bass with lemon, white wine sauce and vegetables for $35. The resort’s Farm 24-7 is offering a lunch and dinner special of a barbecued brisket plate with baked beans and grilled corn on the cob for $15.99. …

Pancho’s Mexican Restaurant in Downtown Summerlin has introduced a brunch from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sundays. Those who buy an entree (such as a chicken breast with sauteed shrimp and crab meat, $22.95, or eggs with a beef enchilada, $17.95,) will also get Champagne, seasonal fruit and bunuelos. …

Town Square’s Pot Liquor Smokehouse Barbecue, which has a new name, has added new menu items including pulled pork nachos and a hot link hoagie.
