Megadeth performing ‘Countdown’ in entirety

Before Megadeth became the Fox News of thrash metal thanks to frontman Dave Mustaine's far-right political leanings, the band was one of the only acts of their ilk to go platinum.

The album that earned Megadeth their first multimillion seller, 1992's "Countdown To Extinction," turned 20 in July and the group will be commemorating its release by performing the record in its entirety on their current tour.

Following in the wake of 1990's "Rust in Peace," quite possibly thrash metal's ultimate guitar album, "Countdown" saw Megadeth temper their highly technical playing with more straightforward, melodic arrangements, balancing torque with tunefulness.

And now, two decades later, you can hear "Psychotron" live for the first time.

OK, everyone join in on the chorus: "Part bionic / And organic / Not a cyborg!"
