First Look: ‘Dead Man Down’ will enthrall some

The story: Beatrice (Rapace), a mysterious young woman consumed with revenge, seeks help from Victor (Farrell), a vengeful gangster determined to bring down the kingpin (Howard) who ruined his life, in this action thriller.

The buzz: Oplev directed Rapace in the original, Swedish version of “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.” Wyman ran the Fox sci-fi drama “Fringe.” Even if “Dead Man Down” doesn’t draw much of a crowd, you can bet it will be a very devoted crowd.
