Kings of Leon headline Blvd Brew Fest

The King of Beers is far too pedestrian for the Kings of Leon.

So, forget the Budweiser when the blustery Southern rockers hit town.

Instead, there will be more than 60 craft brews from over 50 Oregon breweries on tap when the Kings of Leon headline the Blvd Brew Fest, a self-anointed “seven-hour beer-topia.”

The last time the band was in town, in October 2013, they also headlined another big outdoor event, the inaugural Life Is Beautiful festival, where they closed its opening night with a howling, high-strung set, equally muscular sounding and deeply felt.

They were originally scheduled to play the MGM Grand Garden this weekend, but the show was moved to the MGM Resorts Village, the better to see them beneath the stars than an arena’s cooling unit.
