High quality, quantity of bands at Arts District haunt
The Dustland Bar is a deceptive place. From the street in its Arts District location, it doesn’t look like much is happening.
But inside, much is happening.
The tavern at 1433 S. Commerce St. is a hot spot for live music. To wit:
— From 9 p.m. to midnight Friday, it’s Santa Muerta, Ghostwood Murder and Voice of Glass for “a full night of heavy, haunting, high-energy sounds,” the club promises.
— From 8 to 10 p.m. Monday, it’s Seattle indie artist M.A. Sampson, with special guests Andrew Silva and Aaron Archer.
— From 8 to 11 p.m. Thursday, it’s “a night of psych pop and neo grunge,” with the trifecta of Ono Kimono, Surround Sound and Surreal.
The scene is no cover, 21-and-over, and the spring cocktail menu is loaded with inventive concoctions and downtown-level prices. Go to thedustlandbar.com for intel.
