Breakaway Music Festival
Still suffering from EDC withdrawal? ‘Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson’
It’s described as a “fast-paced, irreverent, Wild West rock musical on the founding of the Democratic Party.” Directed by Troy Heard from a book by Alex Timbers with music and lyrics by Michael Friedman, “Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson” tackles America’s complicated relationship with its seventh president, but in a fun way. ‘Short Notice Film Showcase: Student Edition’
Experience the next wave of local talent during “The Short Notice Film Showcase: Student Edition.” Short films by local high school and college students will be screened in conjunction with Film Nevada, Arecibo Films and the Nevada Arts Council. The presentation is scheduled for 5 p.m. Friday at the Winchester Dondero Cultural Center, 3130 S. McLeod Drive. Tickets are $3.
Juneteenth Celebration

No license is required for any of Nevada’s fishable waterways. Wherever the road takes you, just pack plenty of water and always be prepared.
