Mountainside yoga classes to return to Lee Canyon this summer
The most scenic yoga class in or around Las Vegas is returning in May.
Lee Canyon’s Mountainside Yoga returns at 10 a.m. May 10 in the aspen grove at the Bristlecone base area of the mountain resort northwest of the valley.
Weekly, one-hour vinyasa classes will be open to all skill levels through May. Starting in June, classes will be offered on Fridays and Sundays at 10 a.m.
If this summer’s classes are anything like last year’s, registration will fill up quickly. The cost to register is $15 for Sunday classes and $10 for Friday classes.
Ashley-Marie Olgado returns for a third year to lead the program.
“Practicing yoga at Lee Canyon gives people a really unique way to reconnect with nature,” Olgado said in a media release. “Our goal is to make the outdoors more accessible, so classes are designed for everyone, from first timers to experienced practitioners. Mountainside Yoga is a special experience for locals and visitors to Las Vegas.”
Guests are asked to bring a yoga mat, water and comfortable clothing, as well as sun protection. To register for a class, visit leecanyon.com.
