Oscar nominees return to theaters with these moviegoing deals

You may not have rushed out to see the Norwegian drama “Sentimental Value” or the Brazilian thriller “The Secret Agent.” As Netflix films, “Frankenstein” and “Train Dreams” didn’t receive proper theatrical releases.

Thankfully, local movie theaters are making it easy to catch up on the 10 best picture nominees ahead of the 98th Academy Awards on March 15.

AMC at Town Square has what may be the most convenient, albeit grueling, option, with two days of five-movie marathons. Starting at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, see “Train Dreams” followed by “The Secret Agent,” “One Battle After Another,” “Hamnet” and “Frankenstein.” Then at 11:30 a.m. March 14, you can watch “Sentimental Value” followed by “F1 the Movie,” “Marty Supreme,” “Sinners” and “Bugonia.” Tickets are $40 each day.

As part of Oscars Movie Week at Cinemark, theaters at The Orleans, South Point and Suncoast will screen all 10 best picture nominees multiple times from March 9 to 15. A $40 festival pass includes admission to all screenings as well as the nominated animated and live-action short films.

Starting Friday, Regal theaters at Aliante, Boulder Station, Red Rock Resort and Sunset Station will screen a different best picture nominee at least three times a day with reduced $7.99 tickets.

And Galaxy Theatres at the Boulevard Mall, The Cannery and Green Valley are bringing back the best picture nominees at regular ticket prices as part of their Awards Season Spotlight series.
