Alive and Kicking

On Friday, Decades Collide ‘80s vs. ‘90s, hosted by Biz Markie at House of Blues, promises to live up to its name with sets from ‘80s Station, which specializes in tunes from the Reagan era, and Empire Records, which takes on tunes from the following decade. Tickets are $15 to $20; the show is at 8 p.m.
Meow Mix
Detroit trio the Koffin Kats are making their way across the country on a tour that brings them to the Dive on Sunday with The Scoundrels, Dead at Midnite and A Burden on Society. Tickets are $12 to $15, and the gig starts at 9 p.m.
