Where to get Thanksgiving takeout in Las Vegas
If you don't want to cook Thanksgiving dinner — but don't really feel like dining out — there are a few alternatives that enable you to have the best of both worlds.
M Resort, 12300 Las Vegas Blvd. South (702-797-1878 or www.themresort.com) is offering a dinner that serves 10 for $199. It comes with butternut squash soup, a whole roasted turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, yams, cranberry relish, creamed corn, honey-dill carrots, green beans almandine and Hawaiian sweet rolls with honey butter, plus apple or pumpkin pie with whipped cream. Orders are due by Nov. 23, with pickup between 11:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Thanksgiving, Nov. 26.
On the other side of the valley, Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill, 10955 Oval Park Drive in Downtown Summerlin (702-202-6300 or www.wolfgangpuck.com) is offering dinner for 10, which can be multiplied to 20 or 30, for pickup or delivery within 6 miles ($35 extra for delivery). This one offers the option of a turkey breast or whole turkey, sourdough stuffing, candied yams, gravy, French green beans, potato puree, cranberry sauce and Parker House rolls, plus pumpkin or Gala apple pie. It's $400 for 10 people, with orders due by 3 p.m. Nov. 20. Whole pies are available for $25.
Sort of in between is Artisanal Foods at 2053 Pama Lane (702-436-4252 or www.artisanalfoods.com). Dinner there involves roasted chestnut and kabocha squash bisque; a salad of escarole, goat cheese, red wine onions and pomegranate vinaigrette; turkey with farro cavatelli, creamed spinach, sweet potatoes with almonds, potato puree, truffle bread stuffing, cara cara orange-cranberry sauce and gravy, plus pumpkin pie with Chantilly cream. It serves eight for $195; reserve by 10 a.m. by Nov. 25 by emailing johnny@artisanalfoods.com.
Marie Callender's also will offer its traditional feasts. The Turkey Breast Feast, which feeds four to six, is $99.99; the bone-in spiral-cut ham feast, which also feeds four to six, is $109.99. The other feasts feed six to eight: The Ultimate Whole Turkey Feast is $119.99, Ham and Turkey Breast Feast, $139.99 and Ultimate Whole Turkey & Ham Feast, $149.99. The feasts include trimmings of apple-sage stuffing, roasted yams with cranberry streusel topping, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, gravy, vegetables, cornbread, a whole pumpkin or apple pie and Marie's House Blend Coffee. Also available a la carte are bone-in spiral-cut quarter hams, $39.99; roasted turkey breasts, $36.99; and whole roasted turkeys, $49.99. There are four Marie Callender's locations in the valley.
Also bear in mind that many supermarkets offer as much — or as little — for Thanksgiving as you want, by pre-order through their delis. Check with your local store for availability and details.
