What every mom wants: Bacon roses

Thinking of giving Mom roses on her big day Sunday? A rose by any other name would smell as sweet, but not as sweet as bacon.

Yup, bacon. Those wags at the National Pork Board have come up with bacon roses, and you can make your very own, just in time for Mother’s Day.

The board doesn’t specify what type of bacon to use. We’re thinking that regular thinly sliced bacon would be easiest to work with, but the bacon used in their tutorial looks like the thick kind, and in that case your roses would be, you know, beefier.

At any rate, here’s the link.
