View Dining Pick of the Week: The Edge of Town
The Edge of Town Bar & Grille
10490 W. Cheyenne Ave., 702-463-3343
Don’t let the “bar” part of The Edge of Town Bar & Grille scare you off from enjoying a meal here: The bar and dining room are separate and have individual entrances. This makes the smoke-free dining room pretty family-friendly for a restaurant that is part of a drinking establishment. During my Sunday afternoon meal there, I noticed plenty of families and even a baby. The menu is also family-friendly, with a variety of burgers, variations of macaroni and cheese served in mini crocks, soups, salads, pizzas and dinner entrees such as chicken fried steak ($13), fish and chips ($11) and New York strip steak ($21). Dinner entrees are served after 4 p.m. Breakfast is served until 11 a.m. during the week and noon on weekends and includes steak and eggs ($11), Edge Benedict ($9) and chocolate chip pancakes ($6). Joe’s Special ($8) is eggs, ground beef, spinach and diced onions scrambled together, dusted with Parmesan cheese and served with hash browns. The Edge’s lunch menu includes variations on the slider: meatball, pulled pork and Buffalo chicken are $8, while Angus, Bacon Bleu and chicken Parm options are available for $9. Burgers ($8 to $10) are a half-pound Angus patty and served with fries or coleslaw and a pickle. The menu has a little something for everyone, including blackened chicken tacos ($9), mahi mahi tacos ($10), Reuben ($10) and Pot Roast Melt ($11). Save room for white chocolate bread pudding or a deep dish cookie sundae ($6 each). A different dinner special is offered every night. Food is served 24/7, and the dining room is open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. For more information, visit edgeoftownlasvegas.com.
